Childhood Memories in the Making | Kelly Wilson Photography 2013

When I was about 5 years old, my grandparents bought a little place at Lake Eufaula.  It wasn’t much, just a small trailer home nestled in the trees overlooking the water.  Grandma and Grandpa used to load us up in Grandpa’s work van loaded to the gills, then we would make the 2.5 hour drive to our little paradise.  So many fun memories made there through the years!  A typical day at the lake consisted of  skiing, riding in the boat, jumping off the dock, taking the golf cart for a spin around the neighborhood, playing on the tire swing, swimming til our fingers tips became wrinkled like prunes, grilling hamburgers and hot dogs for  lunch and dinner, and making s’mores by the campfire after the sun went down.  Now I’m passing those memories on to my own children, and oh how fun it is to watch them enjoying the things I loved so much as a child in a place that is so special to our family 🙂
