One of my images was shared on the ClickinMom’s blog today!

Ashley Spaulding is one of my all time favorite photographers, ever.  I came across her blog last summer and her work inspired me to get back to photographing my kids doing what they do as we go about our everyday lives.  I fell in love with her work, it’s gorgeous,it’s simple, and most importantly it tells the story of what was important at the time the photo was taken.  When I found out she was teaching a class on how to achieve what she does, I HAD to sign up!  I was in the last run of the course, held back in October of 2012, and cannot say enough wonderful things about it.  Ashley is so gracious with her knowledge, she holds nothing back, answers all questions and gives incredibly helpful feedback to every participant in the class.  It is her passion to teach others how to do what she does so well, it comes through so clearly in her PDF’s, feedback and video tutorials.  She even holds a skype session for a couple of hours towards the end of the class where everyone can log in and watch her edit live and ask questions as she goes.  I can honestly say I saw a lot of growth following her class, in my work as well as the work of my classmates.  So why am I telling you all of this?  Because there is another run of the class coming up next month, anyone who is interested in learning how to better photograph their child(ren) should consider signing up, you won’t regret it, it’s worth every penny 🙂

To learn more about the class you can find info here, and be sure to check out the first image featured here…it’s mine!  And you can check out Ashley’s blog here

Here are a few of the images I took during the class…

And this image was shared on the ClickinMom’s blog link I posted above!

Moore, Oklahoma Child Photographer { My Baby }

I was playing around with lighting set ups today and asked my littlest to plop down on a stool so I could take a few test shots and snagged this…he melts my heart!  I can hardly believe he will be THREE in May, the time is just flying by way too fast, he’s my last “baby” and I wish I could freeze him here forever!

Welcome to the world baby girl!

Brandi and Jeremy, thank you so much for having me there to photograph the birth of your beautiful baby girl!!

It was a thrilling experience, and I am so honored to have been there to capture it!!

She was so hungry and was craving Panera Bread, so her parents made a run to Panera

She made it to 10 like a pro, but had to hold that baby in while we waited for the doctor, lol!

Two pushes later and this precious miracle entered the world!

The expression on her face is priceless, a moment she will truly never forget 🙂

She couldn’t wait to get her hands on her baby!

Not a dry eye in the room at this point!

First kiss from daddy … love at first sight

This photo was at the doctor’s request, he said, “oh you have to take this shot, it makes the baby look huge!”

first cuddles with mommy

Grandma and Grandpa getting their first look!

This sweet girl was born in May of 2012, but I’m just now getting around to blogging the photos.  It’s amazing how seeing these images

brings back all of the wonderful memories of that day.  Everything happens so fast once it’s time to deliver, and many of the details are forgotten,

but these photos will serve as a reminder of all of the wonderful moments of that day, the day their sweet baby girl made her way into the world!
