Where did my baby go? {Oklahoma Baby Photographer}
I love the view from this hallway in our house. The sight of a baby crib makes my heart smile.
The only thing better than that view, is this view…
I love babies, and I wish I could always have one in my house, but as my littlest turned two in May I realize that my “baby” days are numbered. I adore this age, he is full of laughter and loves to play. Trains are the current favorite toy, followed closely by puzzles and blocks. He is such a cuddle bunny lately, he walks up to us and says, “snuggle in chair with you?” which totally melts my heart and stops me in my tracks…whatever I was doing can wait, how could I turn down a request like that?
I adore these chubby little feet and legs…
This blanket has almost as many miles on it as the baby it belongs to does, it drags behind him everywhere he goes. Oh, and it’s “gankie”, I need to get that on video!
The pediatrician thinks we gave this up about…oh, a year ago…but not so much, it’s our little secret 😉 It’s partially true, he uses a cup during the day, but it’s still part of our naptime and bedtime routine.
It pains me to admit it, but I will be so sad to see this go too…
He insists that he has all 5 blankets in his bed when we tuck him in at night. If we only put two in he’ll say, “another one pease” in between sips of milk. So, we go on a gankie hunt for the other ones. Once they have all been accounted for, we snuggle them up close to his face because anywhere else is just not acceptable in his opinion. And then comes my favorite part, I rub the top of his head and then his cheek and tell him goodnight and that I love him, then he replies with “love you monnie”. Oh how that melts my heart! No idea why he started calling me monnie instead of mommy, but I love it. If I had a way to freeze these days, I would.
